Prepare to Install Intel® Packet Protect

Before you install Intel Packet Protect on your system, make sure the system meets the following requirements. Intel Packet Protect systems can be servers or workstations.

All installations are subject to the end user's acceptance of the applicable Intel Software License Agreement.

Install Intel Packet Protect

You will need the information detailed in the following table during Intel Packet Protect installation at each computer. To complete the installation most efficiently, gather the information listed in the table before you begin.

  • Secure Responder
  • Secure Initiator
  • Lockdown

Pre-shared key

 

Enter a pre-shared key the system will use to communicate securely with other IPSec systems. A pre-shared key is similar to a secret password.
