To Add a Security Exception

  1. Display the Security Exception tab. How do I display this tab?

  2. Click Add.

  3. In the Protocol box, use the drop-down list to select a protocol for this security exception, either UDP (User Datagram Protocol) or TCP (Transmission Control Protocol).

  4. In the Action box, use the drop-down list to select a security action for this security exception, either Allow Communication without Security or Deny Communication.

  5. In Local Ports, choose either Any Port or Port. If you choose Port, type the port number that initiates communication for this special security action.

  6. In Remote Ports, choose either Any Port or Port. If you choose Port, type the port number that receives communication for this special security action.

  7. Click OK.

Note: Intel Packet Protect will automatically restart.
